HoloTouch Announces Touchless Door Switch
Stamford, Connecticut, August 17, 2009. – HoloTouch, Inc. announced its touchless, holographic switch to energize mechanical arms that open doors, operated by passing a finger through the holographic image shown at the right, floating freely in the air 2” in front of the switch’s bezel.
R. Douglas McPheters, President of HoloTouch, Inc. and inventor of its widely patented HoloTouch® touchless, holographic HMI technology, explained: “Our new switches fit into standard NEC one-gang wall boxes and have no moving parts to fail under repeated use. Unlike conventional tactile switches, our new touchless switches are completely sealed against surrounding environments, have no closing contacts to create sparks and help users avoid whatever contamination or disease is residing on hands or clothing of previous users. New touchless, holographic switches will easily replace existing tactile switches as well as provide exciting, cost-effective alternatives for new construction.”
Qualified OEMs may contact HoloTouch, Inc. about obtaining a complimentary demonstration unit of this new touchless switch by sending requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. Touchless, holographic switches announced by HoloTouch today will be priced competively with other durable, touchless switches and will be available in autumn 2009.
